accentSo yesterday I introduced you guys to Bela and Khurrum..the bride and the groom - today I’m going to introduce you to the best friend of the bride, aka my oldtime friend aka Beenish!  As I mentioned yesterday, Beenish and I met years ago when we were in grade 10 - over time we lost contact - I moved to Canada, she moved to Florida..but Facebook brought us back together. I’m so glad I was able to reconnect with her, there’s just something really wonderful about old friends, you pick up where you left off!  With all the wedding festivities, we were able to squeeze in the much needed catch up sessions here and there!

I managed to do a mini portrait session for Beenish and Asim and I totally fell in love with their pictures. Beenish has the prettiest most infectious smile ever! it’s just so genuine and warm. so this session was a total cinch! And Asim is a total sweetheart! He’s just so great around Beenish - Totally the perfect fit! You’ll be able to tell from the pictures!

Thanks again Beenish, for making everything happen! Muaaah!!!

accent I met Bela and Khurrum through a really old friend - one day I get a phone call from her asking me if I can come and photograph her best friends wedding…a wedding in Florida…all I could say was YES!!!! I’m so glad I was able to reconnect with my friend as well as get a chance to hang out with her because of this wedding.

So I flew down to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to photograph this beautiful 3 day wedding, but before I start sharing pictures from their wedding, I’m going to be making a few posts with pictures from their Portrait session. Bela and Khurrum really wanted to capture the essence of  Florida in their E-shoot…and what better way than to head over to the  beach. Las Olas was perfect, it was full of life, lots of restaurants, bars, hotels and of course the beach with the ocean. The water was soooo blue! YUM!

Enjoy these and more will follow in the next few days!

accent Hiya folks! I’m sure everyone is loving and enjoying the beautiful weather that we have been getting. I’ve been out a lot doing lots of shoots.  I guess the sun just tends to bring out our best smiles and it definitely works to my advantage ;)

I blogged a little while back about one of my 2010 couples - Niti and Samir. Today I’m going to be sharing part 2 of their engagement shoot that we did in Byward Market. I love the light in these shots! Bet you can’t tell it was close to freezing on this day! But Niti and Samir were awesome, and they let me do my thing and the result turned out amazing. So enjoy these pictures and leave me some love!

You can have a look at part 1 of their engagement session by going here.

accentNiti and Samir are one of my 2010 couples, and they really wanted their engagement shoot to be all about the gorgeous fall colours of Ottawa - So we did, what any trooper would do..we headed out even though the temperature was below freezing.  Niti and Samir also loved the idea of doing a shoot at the Mackenzie King Estates in Gatineau Park.  This has to be one of my most favourite locations so I was super excited!  I just love all the character and the feel of of it all - even though I’ve been there so many times, I always find something new when I’m there!

The day comes - and I get to the park, only to find out that the main roads are closed because there is a marathon taking place - I remembered taking a back road to get to the estates in the past, so I quickly changed my route and headed to the Estates.  The one thing which I totally hate about Gatineau Park is how I get NO RECEPTION on my cellphone while I’m there. So, even though I made it there, I wasn’t sure if Niti and Samir would be able to find their way - but luck was on our side! They made it and we were blessed with an amazingly sunny day (cold but sunny).

So enjoy these pictures! I can’t wait for their wedding because I know it’s going to be just wonderful.
