Waleed & Numair | Portraits

January 27, 2009

accentWaleed and Numair are my most favourite little people in the world! These two are my nephews and I just love them to bits. They are soooo funny! We just cant stop laughing when they are around.  I got a few minutes with them alone so decided to grab a few quick shots and look at all the fun we had!  Hope you enjoy them! :)

I photographed Imran and Tehmeena in Toronto, around the end of November.  When I first met them they were very nervous…but as time went by..they kept loosening up….and towards the end they were giving me ideas on what we could do!  But what a fun couple! I really enjoyed photographing them!

By the way, Tehmeena is this amazing Interior Designer based in Toronto! Let me know if anyone needs her services!!

Such a pleasure photographing you guys! You guys make a beautiful couple I wish you nothing but the best in life!

Enjoy a few shots from the shoot that day!

Thanks to Abi Martin, a Wedding photographer based in Oklahoma - I got to learn about Wordle. Basically you just type a paragraph or provide a url to a website to have Wordle generate this little Word Collage for you! Isn’t it neat? I love how DESI is one of the biggest words!! Have a try www.wordle.net

Our final stop in the desi bazaar was Desi Galaxy! For all of you who have not heard of this place…it’s basically a small food court with 7-8 vendors all selling different types of desi food. You’ll find anything from gulab jamun to puri halwa to desi chinese food to dosas! You name it and they have it (All things desi ofcourse).

We first decided to snack on Samosa Chaat and Sev Batata Puri. Both things were just deeeeelicious!  The Samosa Chaat was just like back home! So good! The Dahi Puri was fantastic also! just the right touch of khata-meetha..(sweet and sour)

Before heading out we tried Mava Milk - OMG it is SOO good! so now I’m telling you all…the next time you go to New Jersey..make sure you head over to Oak Tree Road, and visit Desi Galaxy…and definitely try out the chaats and Mava Milk.

The guy in the green shirt is bringing in a tub of Samosas into the Mithai (Sweets) Shop!  That’s some serious skill he’s got…to balance a tub of Freshly made samosas while navigating through a mad crowd!
