accentHiii guys!!! The next few days are going to be a few crazy ones so before I get lost in my photography land, I thought I’d leave a little post for you all to read and fill you in all everything wonderful that has been happening in my life.

Yesterday proved to be a super awesome lucky day for me! I ended up winning 2 amazing things!

The first being tickets to the amazing AWAKEN workshops in Toronto which are taking place this weekend in Toronto.  I’ve been eying this workshop for so long because so many of my favourite photographers are going to be speaking at it, so it was a double bonus to win the tickets. A special thanks to Rebecca Wood for the tickets :) She is a phenomenal photographer and its going to be super awesome to finally meet her! I’m also going to get to hear the following fabulous photographers speak, Dave and Charlotte, Amina Moreau and Justin DeMers, Bryan Caporicci, Robert Nowell, Taylor Jackson and Rebecca Wood.

So I’ll blog in more detail after the workshop and let you guys know about what I learn! I already have butterflies in my stomach!! eeeeK can’t wait!

The second thing I won is a 1 hour session with a personal trainer - Dr. Hema Murty of Shanti Consulting. Woot woot!! super excited!

There’s also an amazing Wedding Workshop happening in Ottawa on the 27th of March. It’s organized by the lovely ladies at STARFISH Events!  you can get more details about it by going HERE.  Also a special bonus for all my readers! mention my name and get $10 off your registration!!! Ladies, I’m tell you - this will really make your wedding planning a lot easier! I attended the last workshop and I loved every second of it and I just went to see what the workshop is all about. accentI think everyone has been trying to contribute in one way or another to try to help those in need in Haiti.  I was lucky enough to be part of such a wonderful event with such a humanitarian cause.  Deep Shah and Jatinder Chadha of Desi Ottawa put together this wonderful evening in a matter of weeks - but they left no details out.  With the support from the South-Asian community, they were able to raise funds which went directly to the Red Cross to help those in need in Haiti.

The evening was perfectly planned out. Everything was right on time.  There was entertainment, the food was great and the evening was honoured by distinguished guests, such as Mayoral Candidate and for-mer MPP Mr. Jim Watson, Ottawa’s New Fire Chief Mr. John DeHooge, Multicultural Communication Director of the Liberal Party of Canada Mr. John Delacourt, and Chief of Psychiatry and representing the Haitian Community Dr. Claude Manigat.

I’ve included a few pictures to highlight the evening - if you would like to see the complete gallery, please click here.
