This weekend was one of my only free weekends in the next few weeks so I definitely made the most of it. I got a lot of editing done and even ordered 2 Brides books.  So now I’m right on schedule with the deadlines I set for myself each week. I started putting together this blog post last night but by the time I selected the images to upload, I was so sleepy that I had to put this off until today - so here goes:

I have quite a few engagement shoots I want to share with you guys, mostly of my couples who are getting married in the next few weeks so it’s very exciting! Today I’m going to be sharing pictures from Sarah and Sanjoy’s engagement shoot.   Sarah and Sanjoy both were a lot of fun to work with, they are super sweet and super awesome! I love how they are with each other. We started off in Byward Market for their shoot and worked our way over to the Chateau Laurier area.  Okay so rather then going on and on about the shoot, I’m just going to share the pictures and let you guys enjoy them!

Today I got my Kelly Moore Bag! I ordered it a few months ago and have been waiting eagerly for it’s arrival…and today the nice mail man brought me this purty box! I was soooo excited to open it, but of course I had to document it all, so I pulled out my camera and started clicking away!  So I got the Grey Classic Kelly Moore Bag!  It is pure awesomeness in every way!

When I opened the box, this is what I saw….even the bag for the bag is nice!

Hiya folks!! Hope you are all doing well - I am just trying to recover from a crazy wedding weekend. In 4 days I had 3 weddings in 2 different cities! total mentalness but totally worth it! Each wedding was just stunning and I was completely blown away with the details and the ambiance

Today I’m sharing a Same Day Edit from Sonal and Nitin’s wedding from this weekend. It was a gorgeous Hindu wedding, full of colour, love, and happiness!

Congratulations Sonal and Nitin! You guys are amazing, so full of life and so full of love! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing 2 days!

I’d like to welcome two new members to the Amna Hakim Photography Family! The Canon 100mm 2.8L Macro & the 50mm 1.2L  - I have been waiting sooo long to add the 50 1.2L to my collection of lenses.

This 100mm 2.8L Macro lens is AMAZING! For all those detail shots - it’s a must have!!!

I always shoot my portraits with the 50mm and I’ve been craving to get this 50 1.2 lens - and get those buttery smooth shots with the most delicious bokeh!

I got to photograph Jenna and Marc just a few weeks back in the middle of downtown! Can you believe these were taken right on Somerset and Kent! lol I was driving by one that area one day and thought to myself how awesome of a location this is…lots of doors, windows, focal points…it’s perfect for a portrait session…so I already had a location in mind even before I met Jenna and Marc!

The shoot was simply awesome! Jenna and Marc share this amazing energy and just fit together sooo perfectly! This shoot has to have been one of my most easiest and funnest because the couple was all about each other! They weren’t aware of their surroundings, or who was walking by..just totally into each other! which is what I normally try to do in a shoot. I try to get the couple to focus on each other so that they can block out all the external factors.
