accentNiti and Samir tied the knot yesterday in the heart of Canada.  The whole wedding revolved around the Bollywood theme - we tried to incorporate that theme in their engagement shoot and then of course it carried over to their big day! This wedding was nothing less than exquisite! The decor, the music, the food - every single detail was so meticulously planned out that I had a blast photographing it…you all know how much photographers love details right? For anyone that has been part of a Hindu wedding knows how much goes on, with the Sehra bandi, baraat, milni, ceremony and then of course the reception.

I created a Same Day Edit slideshow for Niti and Samir’s friends and family to enjoy yesterday at their reception and today I’m sharing it with you all, but before I do that - I wanted to share my most favourtie pictures from their bridal portraits yesterday.

These two are just awesome - as the photographer at any wedding, you end up spending a lot of time with the couple..infact probably the most time in the entire day - and you learn a lot about the two, during their planning process to the actual execution - I can say for a fact that both Niti and Samir are super amazing people with beautiful and loving families. It was a pleasure being a part of your big day!

And one of the highlights of the evening recption was the bar! In the morning Niti and Samir’s mandap was set up in this hall for their Hindu Ceremony…and in the evening this hall was transformed into the most chic, stylish, trendy Lounge/bar to receive the guests as they arrived for the reception. It was definitely a focal point all evening long and people just wanted to hang out here (of course I think the drinks may have had something to do with that too..but you get the gist..hehe)

and now the Slideshow! Enjoy!!

accentLately things have been pretty chaotic so I haven’t been able to blog much - but I’m here today to share a special treat with you all. I was lucky enough to photograph Shalini and Amit’s beautiful wedding yesterday. The ceremony was at the Hindu Temple in Ottawa followed by a reception at the Brookstreet Hotel.  Everything was over the top gorgeous and anyone who attended this wedding can attest for the fact that it was definitely a memorable event!

Enjoy some highlights from Shalini and Amit’s Shagun/Chunni Event and their Wedding Day!

Also, on a side note - I’ve been featured on two of my favourite blogs once again!

Sarah and Sanjoy’s Bengali-Hindu wedding took place at such a unique location - For the Ceremony, the Mandap was set up in front of the Ottawa River with a view of the  Ottawa Skyline at the back, where you could see the Parliament Building and the magnificent Chateau Laurier!  The ceremony was followed by a beautiful reception in the Great Hall of the Museum of Civilization.  A Sneak Peek of their wedding has been featured on Red, White, and Diamonds. Angee sure has a way with words! she makes everything sound soooo exquisite! Thank you Angee, for your continuous support!

Bela and Khurrum’s extravagant wedding that took place in two cities both equally beautiful and as unique as can be! Their Mehendi and Wedding Reception was at the Signature Grand in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We enjoyed the gorgeous beaches there along with the Palm Trees! And Signature Grand itself is a magnificent venue!  The Valima Reception took place at the Elegant Villa Borghese in upstate New York!

Asiya too has given me so much support! I love being featured on her blog Aaina!
