accentA few months ago, I was sitting and having lunch with my good friend Bridget Redmond of First Kiss Films and I mentioned to her how I’ve been thinking about doing this concept shoot, just for fun.  The more I talked about it the more excited Bridget got and I could tell she was thinking what I was thinking! I think I needed that final push to actually get this project going…so together Bridget and I started planning our ‘Afternoon Tea’ shoot.  I happened to know a fabulous Make-up artist (Facades by Farhat) and Hair Stylist (Shaista) and Bridget knew the most wonderful Florist (Michelle VandenBosch). I knew of the yummiest Cup Cakery (The Flour Shoppe) and Bridget knew where to get the perfect accessories and props for the shoot (Thanks Mrs. Farr). and slowly everything started coming together - We managed to get an incredible Fashion Designer who is based in Pakistan (Sobia Saleem Couture) on board along with the best Models we could’ve asked for!

The final day arrived and everything had come together wonderfully - Our makeup artist and Hair stylist arrived from Montreal. The clothes arrived from Pakistan. The florist, the cupcakes, the delicate props were all here….and we find out it’s going to be raining on the day of our shoot! But as they say, Everything happens for the best….we made a quick decision to move the shoot indoors and still managed to spend a decent amount of time outdoors (when it would stop raining).

The result was something I could have never imagined or executed on my own.  I was in total awe when our ’set’ was all ready.  I didn’t know where to start taking pictures and where to stop…So many details (you know how much I love details), the intricate embroidery on the clothes, the most gorgeous (and the most amazing) models I could’ve asked for…on whom Farhat did SUCH a fabulous job, the most exotic looking flowers, the many colours, patterns and textures….all I have to say is it’s been a few months since our shoot and I still feel like it all happened yesterday.

Bridget of First Kiss Films released a film teaser for our shoot last week, to which we have received a tremendous response…worldwide in fact! It’s already been featured on some of the most fabulous blogs around! In case you missed it, you can head over HERE to view it.

So before I let you guys move on to the images from the shoot and get totally absorbed in the ambiance of what we call a Highly Decadent Afternoon Tea - I would like to thank all those who were involved in this project. For your time, your effort, your passion and your dedication! This wouldn’t have been possible without each one of you.

Thank you Bridget, Farhat, Michelle, Melissa, Sobia, Shaista, Joelle, Joy, Maya, Aman, Martin, Christina, Mrs. Farr, Bilal, Rabia and Ayesha.  I can’t wait to work together on our next project!

accentTahmina and Rasheed had such a Mughal inspired Wedding Day. From the pearls, to the romance, to the ambiance of royalty…it was all there.  The second Tahmina stepped out all ‘brided’ out, I knew this wedding was going to be like no other.  Everything was so unique and Tahmina was just radiant in her stunning pink Bridal Lehenga..it was just perfect!

Thank you Tahmina and Rasheed for allowing me to be a part of your special day, you guys welcomed me into your families so open heartedly.

So without further adieu, I would like to give you all a sneak peek into their special day.  I can’t wait to share the rest of the lovely pictures from their wedding!
